The Maeve M80 project focuses on creating the first hybrid-electric aircraft for commercial aviation, aiming to achieve zero-emission flights. This aircraft will reduce carbon emissions significantly while accommodating 80 passengers over distances up to 1,482 kilometers, with a target for entry into service by 2031.

Denmark and Sweden have set a target to achieve 100% fossil-free domestic flights by 2030.
Given that developing a new aircraft typically takes 8-10 years, it is imperative to commence work immediately if the EU intends to meet its environmental and sustainability objectives, including zero-emission aviation.
