LUWEX focuses on developing technologies for extracting and purifying water on the Moon to support future space missions. By utilizing local resources, the project aims to produce essential consumables and propellant for astronauts, enhancing the sustainability of space exploration.
Sustainable space exploration requires the development of In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) technologies, which encompass all processes that utilize local resources to generate useful products for robotic and human exploration.
