Organic luminescent radicals (OLRs) are quite rare emitters demonstrating doublet-doublet fluorescence and having a number of advantages towards practical applications in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), ratiometric fluorescence sensors and anti-counterfeiting labelling.
