This project develops a framework to analyze the combined impacts of climate change and land use on biodiversity. It utilizes various methodologies, including remote sensing and citizen science, to assess their effects on bird populations and improve conservation strategies.
Across the globe, species are shifting their distributions to track the warming temperatures, and habitat conversion is reducing species diversity.
However, while both climate and land use change are recognized as top threats to biodiversity, studies on their synergistic effects are very rare.
