This project aims to develop a new type of catalyst system for the efficient and cost-effective production of hydrogen peroxide from hydrogen and oxygen. By utilizing cheaper metals instead of gold, it seeks to overcome economic barriers to commercial application.
The discovery of the catalytic properties of gold has advanced understanding of the fundamental properties of catalyst materials and has opened new avenues for catalyst design and reaction control.
