The LOOPS project aims to enhance a new spinning combustion technology by developing a low-emission injection system. This system will be tested for its effectiveness in reducing nitrogen oxides and soot emissions, addressing environmental concerns in aviation.
Safran Helicopter Engines has recently developed and patented a new spinning combustion technology (SCT).
This innovativetechnology improves ignition and blow-off capabilities and enables combustor weight reduction, without compromising turbinenor combustor lifetime.
