The project aims to create a secure tracking service for vulnerable individuals using EGNOS technology. This service is designed to assist caretakers in locating individuals who may be at risk due to their unexpected absence.
The objective of this proposed project is to develop a commercial, secure, vulnerable person tracking service based on EGNOS. A vulnerable person is a person whose unexpected absence creates high level of concern and anxiety at the side of their close relatives and caretakers, as they may not be able to find their way back home and as they may become easy victims of accidents or crime.
The proposed service belongs to the category of social location based services.
