The LIGNOFOOD project focuses on converting agricultural waste, specifically industrial hemp, into valuable ingredients for the food and beverage industry. It aims to produce xylooligosaccharides and xylitol, which have health benefits and can enhance gut health while promoting sustainability in agriculture.
Obtaining value-added products from agricultural waste is one of the most relevant key objectives to develop a greener bio-based economy and a future sustainable agricultural framework.
