The LIGHT-TANK project investigates the production of thermoplastic composite oil tanks and pipes for helicopter engines. It aims to identify cost-effective materials and processes, ultimately developing prototypes that meet technical specifications for weight reduction and environmental sustainability.
The Project LIGHT-TANK is aimed to find out a way to produce oil tank and connection pipes in Thermoplastic Composites to be used in helicopter engine for the Gearbox system.
Different thermoplastics materials, need of reinforcement and processes will be analysed to find out the cost effective way of producing such a components.
When material and process are selected.
