This research aims to enhance the efficiency of organic solar cells by understanding the relationship between their crystalline structure and performance. It focuses on how the deposition of lithium fluoride affects the structure of organic materials at the interface, with the goal of improving power efficiency.
In order to improve the efficiency of organic microelectronic devices, there has to be a better understanding of both the connection between the crystalline structure and device performance, and the role that the organic/organic and inorganic/organic interfaces play in determining that structure.
The main objective of the proposed research project is understanding the role of structure in solar cell efficiency and using control of that structure to produce a device with improved efficiency. I…
