This project focuses on developing innovative luminescent hybrid nanomaterials with liquid crystalline properties for use in low-power display technologies. By integrating inorganic phosphors into liquid crystal matrices, it aims to enhance energy efficiency and maintain Europe's leadership in advanced materials.
In recent years the growing awareness of the merits to use renewable energies as well as the high oil prices have led to a new approach in the use of liquid crystal materials.
One of their main applications is the LCD screens.
