This project develops a low-cost magnetic resonance imaging technique using hyperpolarization to enhance signal sensitivity. It aims to enable early cancer detection through in vivo metabolic imaging at low magnetic fields, making MRI more accessible in rural and low-income areas.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an excellent technique for medical diagnosis.
Nonetheless, people from rural areas and low-income countries cannot access MRI due to its high associated cost.
