This project aims to develop a novel composite material featuring microencapsulated polymer spheres that change color upon impact. The material also possesses self-repairing capabilities, allowing it to recover from damage effectively.
Our idea is to develop the novel composite material that contains microencapsulated polymer spheres containing coloured resins.
These spheres will provide direct visual inspection possibilities as after impact the surface of the composite will change the colour depending on the severity of the impact.
