This project aims to create low-cost lab-on-chip devices that allow for quick and easy testing using smartphones. Applications include environmental monitoring, food safety, and health diagnostics through innovative sample detection methods.
Conventional analytical methods often require a large sample volume and complicated time-consuming protocols.
The objective of this project is to develop ultra low cost laboratories on chips (LOC) without penalisation in time response, sensitivity or simplicity of use.
The user will obtain the test results using a very popular interface (a smartphone) and a set of Labcards and Skin Patches where the sample preparation and detection take place.
