This project aims to develop a novel optical microscopy tool to observe real-time interactions of diverse biomolecules at the single-molecule level. This advancement could facilitate the study of complex biological systems and contribute to understanding severe diseases like diabetes and Alzheimer's.
Dysregulated interactions between biomolecules can lead to changes in cell signalling and gene expression, both common drivers of human disease. A detailed understanding of these interactions is vital for drug development, often targeting such interactions for therapeutic effects.
