This project investigates the mechanisms behind malignant pleural effusion (MPE) caused by adenocarcinomas, focusing on the role of mutant KRas in driving inflammatory responses and tumor progression. It aims to identify key signaling pathways and potential therapeutic targets to treat MPE in cancer patients.
Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) is a significant problem most commonly caused by adenocarcinomas.
Although tumors involving the pleura vary in their ability to produce MPE, pathways critical for MPE formation are poorly defined.
