Kissmybike is an innovative anti-theft solution for bicycles that combines tracking technology with digital owner identification and forensic data collection. It aims to significantly increase the recovery rates of stolen bikes, addressing a major urban issue of bike theft in Europe.
Rampant bike theft is a pressing global urban problem. 2 out of 3 Europeans either have been victims themselves, or have a victim in their family or close friends circle.
There were 450,000 stolen bikes reported in the Netherlands in 2011, 340,000 in 2014 in Germany.
In Italy, one of the biggest biking markets in EU ~320,000 bicycles are stolen every year.
