This project studies biomolecular hydrogels, focusing on their organization and dynamics in biological processes. It aims to understand the relationship between their structure and function using tailored in vitro models and advanced analysis techniques.
Certain proteins and glycans self-organize in vivo into soft and strongly hydrated, dynamic and gel-like supramolecular assemblies.
