This project focuses on developing a prototype called HiveShip, which supports swarms of flying robots. These robots can autonomously swap batteries to maintain continuous operation during search and rescue missions, leveraging swarm intelligence to collaborate effectively in challenging environments.
Flying robots show great potential in many diverse applications as they can rapidly travel over rough terrain, naturally overcome large obstacles and can provide powerful sensing with a bird's-eye view.
