This project develops a novel ultrasound scanner that provides real-time 3-D imaging of microcirculation in humans. It aims to visualize tiny blood vessels non-invasively, using a prototype tested in clinical settings to support potential commercial applications.
The Proof-of-Concept project will develop the hardware and software architecture for a novel ultrasound scannercapable of performing real-time 3-D super-resolution imaging of the microcirculation in humans.
The scanner is based onthe methods developed in the SURE ERC synergy grant project for Super-resolution Ultrasound Real-time imaging usingErythrocytes (SURE).
