This project investigates the mechanisms of organic reactions using advanced mass spectrometry and quantum chemistry. It aims to provide insights into catalytic processes and reaction intermediates, enhancing the understanding of organic and organometallic chemistry.
Modern chemistry experiences a fast development of new reactions with dominance in organometallics and recently also organocatalysis.
The massive synthetic progress however greatly foreruns mechanistic studies and the deeper insight is often rather limited.
