The ISOLATE project focuses on developing advanced techniques for analyzing individual biological cells to understand complex behaviors like memory and multistability. It aims to train researchers in single-cell measurement methodologies, enhancing knowledge transfer into practical applications.
Biological cells are entities with highly complex, non-linear control circuits.
They can thus express intricate behavior, such as stochasticity-induced multistability, oscillations, responses at different time scales, hysteretic behavior, memory, etc.
