The IRACS project addresses food security challenges in sub-Saharan Africa by developing models to assess the risks of crop failures due to climate change and pests. It aims to link these risks to economic impacts, providing insights for policy responses.
In sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), attaining food security is crucial for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of 'Zero Hunger'.
Despite this, malnutrition rates of SSA in 2022 have deteriorated compared to 2010.
