This project investigates the use of spin-orbitronics in quantum computing, focusing on creating qubits from two-dimensional materials. The goal is to develop a scalable platform that enhances quantum control and reduces noise in quantum systems.
The quest for the realization of ""fault tolerant"" quantum computation is currently challenged by the extreme fragility of quantum effects with respect to noise and decoherence.
