This research investigates the ongoing marginalization of Roma communities in Europe, despite various integration efforts. By analyzing citizenship dimensions and institutional mechanisms, the project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Roma's socio-economic challenges.
This research addresses the question why the position of Roma in Europe keeps deteriorating despite all the (inter)national efforts put into its improvement.
Roma persist as the main targets of ethnic discrimination and are faced by severe socio-economic inequalities throughout Europe.
