This project aims to catalog and analyze structural variations in the human genome, particularly inversions, to understand their biological significance and evolutionary impact. It combines experimental and computational methods to explore the relationship between genetic changes and phenotypic traits.
The last years have seen an extraordinary explosion of studies characterizing genome variation at different levels, and have opened new opportunities in deciphering the genetic basis of phenotypic characteristics and the evolutionary forces involved.
