This project explores advanced power flow control methods for hybrid electric vehicles equipped with two electric motors. By reducing current ripple in the battery and DC link capacitor, it aims to enhance performance, thermal efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the vehicle's power system.
Hybrid Electric Vehicles with two electric motors, each supplied by its own dedicated inverter becomes more popular due to its fuel economy benefit and satisfactory drivability.
This project aims to investigate new methods for power flow control to apply to this system so that battery and DC link electrolytic capacitor current ripple at low and high frequencies can be reduced.
