This project investigates the role of intestinal stem cells in the progression of colorectal cancer. It focuses on understanding how these cells contribute to tumor recurrence and metastasis, using a novel mouse model to track cancer development.
Constitutive activation of the Wnt pathway is the key step for initiation of colorectal cancer (CRC).
