This project investigates how humans assess temporal risks in decision-making. It examines the impact of timing uncertainty on reward maximization through experimental studies, aiming to enhance understanding of timing and decision-making processes.
Time is a ubiquitous, defining feature of apparently simple decisions that we routinely face in daily life.
These decisions include trading off speed against accuracy while taking a timed test, or stepping on the gas pedal rather than braking when the traffic light turns yellow.
Keeping track of time is adaptive, because reward earned in many real-life scenarios depends on the temporal statistics of the environment.
