The InterBiome project investigates how dietary factors, particularly food additives, affect the gut microbiota and host health. It aims to understand the mechanisms behind individual variations in microbiota responses to diet, paving the way for personalized dietary management.
The intestinal tract is inhabited by a large and diverse community of microorganisms, collectively referred to as the microbiota.
When stably maintained, the microbiota provides important benefits to its host.
