IntelliSHM focuses on creating an integrated structural health monitoring system that uses fewer sensors and advanced diagnostic tools. The project aims to enhance the detection of impact events in composite materials through a customized software package.
The project IntelliSHM will address the following topics:
Design of an integrated SHM system, with reduced number of sensors, embedded solutions, Optimum location of sensors, Sensor fault detection by multi-scale methods, Improved diagnostic and prognostic tools.
Also this proposal aims at developing a software package for designing sensorised composite panels for reliable detection of impact events.
