PJ28 aims to demonstrate advanced air traffic management solutions at airports to alleviate congestion. By implementing integrated operations, it seeks to enhance safety, improve runway throughput, and reduce delays and fuel consumption.
This project PJ28 which is part of the SESAR 2020 Multi annual Program (S2020 MAWP) for the period 2016-2019, will demonstrate the benefits that specific promising SESAR solutions will bring in a large and two mid-size airports, where traffic congestion daily takes place during the peak season and where new SESAR solutions are expected to assist controllers in their duty.
