INSIGHT develops a framework for assessing the safety and sustainability of chemicals and materials. It integrates data and models to provide decision-making tools that support a holistic approach to environmental and health impacts.
Safe and sustainable by design (SSbD) chemicals and materials are crucial to address the challenges of modern society.
However, lack of stakeholders’ coordination, limited access to relevant data, and absence of standardised methods have thus far hampered the emergence of a comprehensive approach to SSbD.
