This project explores the role of chromatin remodellers in positioning nucleosomes, which are essential for DNA packaging and gene regulation. By studying the INO80 complex, it aims to uncover the structural mechanisms that govern nucleosome dynamics and their implications for cellular processes.
Nucleosomes, ~147 base pairs of DNA wrapped around an histone protein octamer, package and protect nuclear DNA but also carry important biological information.
