This research investigates language processing in bilingual and monolingual infants, focusing on how they learn and differentiate between languages. Using advanced neuroscientific methods, the study aims to uncover the cognitive mechanisms underlying language acquisition in diverse linguistic environments.
Bilingual infants have to deal with two languages at the same time.
Some previous studies showed delayed processing in bilinguals due to the higher cognitive load they are faced with.
However, other studies show that they master this challenging task with a fascinating ease and at the same pace as monolingual infants.
