This project focuses on the role of indigenous women in the Amazon in preserving traditional ecological knowledge amidst climate change. It aims to create a platform for integrating indigenous and scientific knowledge to promote sustainable practices and protect biodiversity.
Indigenous communities are the main ones facing the direct consequences of climate change due to their intricate relationship with the environment, their culture and their resources.
In the case of the Amazon, environmental devastation and exploitation threaten the basic human rights of its native peoples, which, added to the impacts of climate change, threatens the survival of its biodiversity.
