The INARAS project focuses on developing an automated system to efficiently apply riblets on aircraft surfaces. Riblets are designed to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency by utilizing small grooves that minimize skin friction in turbulent airflow.
The Project INARAS (Intregal Automated Riblets Application System) is aimed to find out an automatic and cost effective way to paint riblets on an aircraft surface.The research and development to carry out in this Project will develop, integrate and test an Integral System to be used on real aircraft parts or mock-up to paint riblets.
