This project explores the use of non-porous silicon nanoneedles to manipulate stem cell behavior for nerve system disorders. The aim is to improve tracking and differentiation of stem cells into neural cells for potential therapeutic applications.
Stem cell-based therapies to cure nerve system disorders using the self-renewal and multilineage differentiation capacities of the transplanted stem cells have been drawing attention during the past decade.
