The iMPACT project develops a proton Computed Tomography scanner to enhance imaging for cancer treatment. It aims to achieve rapid, high-resolution 3D imaging, significantly improving the accuracy of proton therapy in medical applications.
The iMPACT project focuses on the realization of a proton Computed Tomography (pCT) scanner capable of acquiring a target full 3D image with 1s exposure, therefore opening the way to the practical application of proton imaging technique in medical radiotherapy treatments.
