This project aims to enhance cancer immunotherapy by developing antibodies that improve immune cell interactions. By focusing on the relationship between T-cells and dendritic cells, it seeks to create more effective treatments that can better engage the immune system against tumors.
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting immune checkpoints have revolutionized cancer treatment but exhibit several challenges, most notably, limited intratumor efficacy and relatively low patient response rates.
Endowing these mAbs with immune-cell-recruitment capabilities may offer the solution to these drawbacks.
