This research aims to identify how environmental factors interact with genetic variants linked to immune-mediated diseases. By analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing data, it seeks to uncover the molecular pathways influenced by these interactions.
In the last few years genome-wide association studies have revealed thousands of genetic variants associated to immune-mediated diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease.
