This research project examines the challenges and tensions in international criminal justice systems. It aims to identify key goals and propose measures to enhance the effectiveness of these judicial mechanisms.
The past two decades have seen an unprecedented trend towards the ‘institutionalization’ and ‘judicialization’ of international criminal justice, principally through the operation of formalized international and hybrid courts and tribunals.
