The imATLAS project aims to identify causes of sarcoidosis through a novel imaging analysis method combining laser spectrometry and histology. By developing a comprehensive data analysis pipeline, it seeks to provide clinicians with vital information for diagnosing and treating this inflammatory disorder.
Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory, granulomatous disorder with unknown cause highly associated with occupational exposures.
It has geographically variable prevalence, with an elevated cost for the patients.
It can be detected among metal-exposed workers, firefighters, rock, glass wool or agriculture workers.
