The IMAGE project aims to improve the management of animal genetic resources by utilizing DNA information and developing new biotechnologies. It focuses on enhancing genetic diversity in livestock, ensuring sustainable farming practices, and creating tools for stakeholders to manage genetic collections effectively.
This aim of IMAGE is to enhance the use of genetic collections and to upgrade animal gene bank management. IMAGE will better exploit DNA information and develop methodologies, biotechnologies, and bioinformatics for rationalising animal genetic resources.
