This project investigates Alcohol Use Disorders by studying implicit conditioning responses in individuals with hazardous drinking behaviors. It aims to bridge the gap between animal research and human studies, enhancing understanding of addiction through innovative experimental techniques.
Alcohol Use Disorders (AUD) affect more than 11 million people in Europe (~3.4% of the population).
Basic research in the field is conducted in animal models, using conditioning tasks, and then translated to humans.
