ICOEUR focuses on developing innovative methods for monitoring and controlling large-scale power grid interconnections, particularly between Europe and Russia. The project aims to enhance operational security and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources through advanced technologies.
The interstate integration of power grids provides multiple advantages concerning operation security, integration of renewable energy as well as energy trading.
Due to this fact the UCTE interconnection expands continually since its establishment.
