The ICARUS project aims to enhance the reliability of Manual Ultrasonic Non Destructive Testing (MUT) in safety-critical industries. By integrating technology and improving procedures and training, it seeks to increase defect detection rates and reduce risks in asset management.
Manual Ultrasonic Non Destructive Testing is a long established and extensively adopted inspection technology, embedded in and vital to the integrity and performance management of capital assets in safety critical industries including aerospace, chemical processing and power generation.
