This project focuses on training PhD candidates to grow human stem cells in xenofree conditions, eliminating the risks associated with animal-derived supplements. By using human plasma-derived materials, it aims to enhance clinical applications of stem cells and foster entrepreneurship in biomedical research.
The present proposal consists in an elite doctorate program designed to train PhD candidates at the highest academic level in combination with strong components in entrepreneurship, technology transfer and business development since part of the research and training will be carried out in an industrial environment and using a problem solving approach.The major scientific objective of this project is to grow stem cells of human origin in xenofree conditions.
