The i-LiDAR project focuses on developing advanced imaging systems that utilize metasurfaces for high-resolution and high-speed light detection. This technology aims to enhance applications in both civil and military sectors, particularly for autonomous vehicles requiring rapid visual recognition.
The “i-LiDAR” PoC project addresses the realisation of high-resolution and high-frame rate imaging systems.
Relying on a combination of newly developed planar optical components, known as metasurfaces to achieve large deflection angles, with existing opto-mechanical systems, known for their high-speed light modulations, we will realize new light detection and ranging devices.
The proof of concept devices are of great interests for both civil and military applications.
