The HypoPause project investigates how menopause affects the hypothalamus and its role in metabolic changes in women. By examining molecular and cellular alterations in preclinical models, the project aims to uncover mechanisms behind weight gain, insulin resistance, and other metabolic issues linked to menopause.
Women health is heavily impacted by menopause, and specifically, metabolic alterations increase their prevalence compared to the pre-menopause stage.
